There are many things which you might want from your wedding, and a lot of different kinds of styles and themes you might be considering.

Something that seems to be becoming more and more popular in recent years is that of a natural look.

Whether that is achieved by actually being out in nature, or merely by creating a natural look indoors – or a combination of the two – you can be sure that it is a great way to design any wedding and something which you are bound to really fall in love with. In this post, we are going to discuss some of the things that you can do to ensure that your wedding has the natural touch so that you can enjoy that feeling of nature throughout your own special day.

Choose An Outdoor Venue

Clearly, one of the simplest and most effective means of ensuring that your wedding appears perfectly natural is by making a point of choosing an outdoor venue – though this might be a little more challenging to get right than you may have assumed. In order to ensure that you get this right, you will need to think about what kind of outdoor venue you would like to get married in, as there is obviously a lot of variety here that you will need to consider.

There are many examples of perfectly acceptable and even beautiful outdoor wedding venues, and you will want to spend some time finding one that really suits you and your style. That could mean in the woods, or it might be out in the fields somewhere – it doesn’t matter, so long as you are happy with the choice. With an outdoor venue, your wedding will obviously be much more natural-themed in no time.

Keep Colours Earthy

Whether or not you are having your wedding outside, you will find that it is also important to think about what colour you are going to use, and in particular to make sure that you stick to those with natural enough tones. Generally, that will mean that you want to go for earthy colours and tones, and that at first might seem challenging to make work in the context of a wedding. However, by using the groomsmen’s ties and other small details like that to your advantage, you will hopefully be able to ensure that you keep the colours as natural as possible, and in so doing keep the whole day much more natural too.

Flora & Fauna

Finally, regardless of anything else, there is one thing that all weddings are going to have in abundance anyway: flowers and plants. You might be thinking that any choice here will work, as no matter what it is bound to be an effective natural look, but that is not necessarily the case. Actually, you will probably find that it is necessary to stick to certain kinds, such as those which grow naturally in the local area, or some which have some kind of meaning based on where you first met. If you can keep it thematic in this way, all the better.

Have you got any more ideas of adding a natural touch to a wedding?

We finally did Georges Island Tour… one of the most historic defence points in the harbour. It was such perfect Weather.
Halifax ka chhota sa island, lekin tunnel system kafi gehra.

Purane zamane ke defence tunnels — thanday, narrow, aur fascinating. 🧐 built in the 1800s, once used by soldiers to find refuge beneath the fort.

Honestly bohot yaadgar day trip.
Kabhi kabhi bas ek simple tour bhi dil ko refresh kar deta hai.

Weather was beautiful, the tour was simple, and the history was surprisingly deep.
Sometimes the smallest islands hold the biggest stories.

Booking info:
We booked the official Parks Canada tour via Ambassatours. Tickets were approx $25 per person for the round‑trip ferry & island access inc tunnel tour.
August was beautiful. 😻 Alhamdulilah.
