Organising Chaos - Legal Documents

Part 3 of Organizing Chaos was Paperwork and Books. For those of you who missed out that part, here is a link to that. Within that post, I had spoken a little about maintaining your important legal documents. Considering how crucial this topic is, I had to have a separate post on my blog on it. I would like to share a few paragraphs from that post first of all.

Importance of legal documents

I believe it is vital to keep documents in order as it saves time and money which are the two biggest blessings from Allah. Every house has crucial paperwork like:

House Rent/Mortgage/Possession Form
Driving License
National Insurance Card
National Identity card
Insurance (life,travel,mobile,contents)
Online/Telephone Banking Detail
ATM/Debit/Credit card
Work/Company Contract
Bank Statements & Pay slips
Car & Marriage Certificate

Organizing Chaos - Toilet and Personal Hygiene

Good morning you guys. Today organizing chaos is focusing on the place of our house, in which cleanliness is the most important, yet avoided in discussions. I feel blogging gives me the liberty to enlighten important issues which are normally overlooked.

Gorgeous washrooms can be so refreshing

The significance of keeping toilets clean can never be underrated. A person can breathe a healthy life while keeping a disorderly bedroom, dressing room and lounge. But if he/she is careless in the washroom, it can affect his/her health inversely.  A person can easily catch bacteria, virus or bugs if the toilet isn’t kept clean.

Organizing Chaos - Bling

I was a complete tom boy till the age of 20. That was when I got my ears pierced as well. Since then, I have been fond of wearing earrings, necklaces, nose pins and rings. I think jewelry is one of the main factors that differentiate men from women. I know i may be overstating but when I look at myself without earrings in the mirror, I resemble a boy. That's probably why I always have them on, as long as I’m awake.

Organizing Chaos – Kitchen

Hygiene and cleanliness is the most important in our kitchen. For those who are not worried about the biology, in economic terms, cleanliness saves us a lot of money. Food is perishable and using it to its best advantage requires regular cleaning. Keeping our kitchen clean doesn’t mean becoming obsessive about every little detail at the expense of a few hours quality family time. It means changing our habits that can make us sick, cost us money and send a negative message to those around us.

Organizing Chaos – Cosmetics

 My make up organizer

For me the happiness after buying cosmetics is far more than buying anything else. There is a tremendous thrill of purchasing just that orange lipstick shade or that emerald green eyeliner I had been eyeing for a while.

Organizing Chaos - Footwear

I never realized the importance of wearing comfortable shoes until I got a severe foot condition (warts and verrucas). I had to visit the podiatrist a number of times to seek relief from the excruciating pain. After hearing my routine, he told me that long continuous hours of physical exercise with a flat foot is bad enough. On top of that, wearing uncomfortable shoes was aggravating the pain and causing my feet to swell/bruise up on strenuous days. I had to sleep with a pillow under my feet while I stayed in that job. That was when I realized the importance of comfortable footwear and I started wearing cushioned trainers in my routine. It is a good idea to carry comfortable shoes with us if we really want to wear heels on certain occasions or to work.

Organizing Chaos – Wardrobe

The first transformation in me was when I decided to de-clutter my life. The second one which also took place in the recent years is that I turned into a shopaholic. Gone the days when I wasn't interested in buying anything for myself and didn’t know how retail therapy could actually make a person feel so much better. Living in London where every one is always decked up with false eye lashes and party clothes even while grocery shopping, one has to have a trendy wardrobe in order to blend in. So I guess once you start earning a lot and you tire yourself from the physical and mental work strain, you decide to give yourself a break and start spoiling yourself, hoping those things will buy you happiness, but they seldom do; until you find yourself really excited by those yellow wedges that you bought yourself in sale.

Organizing Chaos – Handbag

A handbag is the only thing that we carry around with us where ever we go, so it sort of becomes our comfort blanket. When we’re away from home and suddenly need a tissue (thanks to the cold or spicy food), we dig into our bags desperately hoping we can find one. Or if we are out to pay bills looking gruesome and suddenly we have to go directly to a fancy gathering, we frantically check our hand bags for a lipstick and an eye liner so no one sees us looking so naturally horrifying. Our handbag saves our day.
