Mini Travel Series: Takht-i-Bahi

Starting a mini travel series with Takht-i-Bahi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is an archaeological site of an ancient monastery in Mardan, KPK. It is exceptionally well preserved.

It is about 2 and a half hours drive from Islamabad. You have to trek up to the hill where the Budhist ruins are situated. It is an ideal stop-over on the way to Chitral. there.


This is what we did. The area is also known for its delicious Chapli Kebabs. A highly recommended weekend getaway! Today I am sharing its pictures with you to inspire you to plan a trip.
